Swordfish was built by JL Boyd as a naval tender in 1946 in Swansea, Lake Macquarie, NSW.   She transitioned into a professional fishing vessel operating from Lakes Entrance until her retirement in the late 1980s.   She found new life as a private cruiser, and breathed fresh vitality with a notable refit by James Frecheville in 1994.   In 2014, Swordfish underwent further enhancements with the installation of a new John Deere engine. The current owners have cherished her since 2002
