Built for Mr Howlett by Mr Reynolds in a hayshed at the mouth of the Tambo River in 1915 as a typical Gippsland Lakes boat for either fishing or transportation up to Sale.  The Cross family at Sale owned her after the Howlett family and she was moored at Port of Sale.

Retrieved from Sale in poor condition & towed as an open boat to Paynesville and first restored by shipwright Mark Staughton and his shipwright father, on completion having its first cabin top fitted.

In 2017 it was restored again by John Seigland at the Bury Slipway 7 launched with much fanfare & media coverage.

Purchased in 2023 by Barry Bladon, Mayflower has just completed an extensive ground-up nine month restoration by Mark Staughton which has been an emotional reconnection for him working on a boat he loved & owned as a young man.
