Saracen was a one of a kind build by Lex Nicol in 1975. Built to win the Brisbane to Gladstone race, which she did in 1977.
Katherine and I have owned Saracen for about ten years. She has completed many voyages to Deal Island, Flinders Island and Wilson's Prom. She is one of the first multihulls built using foam sandwich construction. In 2008 she was modified into a fast cruising tri.
We have a top speed of 16 knots in 3 metre swells when returning from Wilsons prom, with no green water over the bows.
As a one off build its safe to say she is both a classic and unique.
