KATA was quite a restoration project from the outset.  She looked like a Riva Florida and there are certainly Riva fittings and components and construction was to design, scantling and detail of Riva craftsmanship but there was something that wasn't quite right.  The boat was definitely built on the shores of Sarnico, Italy.  Hours of research of Italian  boatbuilders and the mystery is believed solved.  We are pretty sure now that KATA is an Arcangeli Super Jolli built in the early 1960's.

The team at Frecheville Heaney Boats in Paynesville restored this vessel. With her new laminated bottom over repaired framing and deadwood, new decking and engine bay, a refurbished motor, replica custom upholstery and all new electrics she now looks and drives a treat.

Complete new running gear including shaft, strut, prop,  rudder, log and coupling to Chev 350 V8 raw water cooled with Borg Warner velvet drive gearbox.

New instruments and a new custom built trailer.

Ready to tow away and enjoy.... Just imagine the wind in your hair, the earthy growl of a Chev V8 and surrounded by varnished mahogany, chrome hardware and bespoke upholstery.  Carpe Diem.
