Pepyana is a fishing boat designed and built by craftsmen boatbuilders, Blunts of Williamstown.  It is believed to be built in 1918, as a 1918 penny was found under the mast.  It was probably first used as a workboat in Hastings before being converted to a shark fishing boat by Joe Anneda in Port Welshpool. After retirement from shark fishing, she was converted to a pleasure boat by Rusty Norton; she was then sold on to Mal Heywood and finally Stan Crossley in Port Franklin. She was purchased from Stan and moved to Paynesville to undertake a full restoration project.  She has been used for fishing successfully for many years.
