Designed and built by the Pompei Brothers of Mordialloc.   I have little knowledge of the early history of the Lady K, except that she was built sometime around 1940. After being found by Mark Reeve as a derelict, half submerged hulk in the backwater of Portland Harbour (Western Victoria) she was transported to Paynesville in the early 2000s where restoration was completed by well-known Paynesville shipwright, Tim Heaney in 2017.
She can be seen regularly on the Gippsland Lakes, around Paynesville and as part of the Gippsland Lakes Yacht Club activities. She can often be seen with a “blow home sail” on the front and with a skippy line out the back.
