Tom Whitfield designed and built a traditional row boat for the Hooper family to use as a hire boat on Albert Park Lake. Buster Hooper has the original boat built as a plug. Several fibreglass boats were built from the mould and used as hire boats until Jolly Roger hire boat business sadly closed. Wyuna is one of the fibreglass boats purchased by Max Hodder of Paynesville. I purchased the boat from Max and commissioned Mark Henger local Traditional Boat Builder to complete the timber fit out. We are currently working on plans to adapt the boat with a centreboard and rudder, and add a traditional sailing gaff rig.
