Koolyn was built by Alfred Anderson and Son in Kew, Victoria. She was one of the first boats in the Bull’s Cruisers fleet.
She is carvel planked. Speed of 9 knots. Engine room is 3.8' long. On 13/10/1925 she was measured. then on 20/10/1925 she was registered, Melbourne No.14 of 1925.
1958 she became the second hire cruiser in the Bull Marine hire fleet. 01/03/1964 register noted she was believed broken up (sic). Not so apparently as in 2010 she was reported located in Paynesville central harbour.
