Jasmine Rose is a 27 foot (LOA) Couta Boat owned since August 2025. Built circa 1960/65. She was discovered on a fishing boat beach at Apollo Bay.
Her exact date of construction is unknown. She was purchased by Douglas Maxwell and restored here, in Paynesville Boat Yard.
Sadly, Douglas sadly passed several years ago and she was left in capable care of two local enthusiasts Mick and Ken, who sailed her to victory in the ‘Paynesville Classic’.
She has a clinker built hull, unknown species, with the bottom sheathed in GRP.
Laminated marine ply decks, mast and bowsprit are original Eucalypt hardwood and marine pine. Powered by a 2 cylinder Yanmar.
Restoration is ongoing.
