Vanitee was built by JJ Savage on the Yarra River, Melbourne, Originally she was built as a gaff rigged yacht and used in Port Phillip bay. At some time the sail and centre plate were removed for a cabin structure. She was taken to Port Albert and used by a family. Relocated to Gippsland Lakes circa 1970's. Purchased by us early 1990's and used as a family boat on the lakes. Early 2000 cabin removed and extensive work done by me (Metung Shipwrights) and well maintained since.
