The Shimmy 12 is a 12-foot ballasted-keel daysailer featuring a proprietary "slot-system" construction that uses CNC-cut Okoume marine plywood and epoxy resin for rapid amateur assembly. Its design prioritizes stability and shallow-water access through a three-quarter length fixed keel and a simple boomless lugsail rig, eliminating the need for a centerboard. Capable of seating four adults, the 300kg vessel is easily rowed, powered by a small outboard, or towed by a compact car. Kits and plans are currently available through No Coast Boatworks.
