The Cornish Shrimper 19 is a rare sight in Australia with only a few boats. Designed by Roger Dongray in 1979 and built by Cornish Crabbers UK it remains in production with more than 1,100 yachts. Azzura was imported into Australia in 2010 as a display vessel to promote the class. She is based on a traditional shrimp fishery vessel from Cornwall, and has a gaff rig with wooden spars.
Fiberglass construction but traditional lines. The owner has only recently purchased the vessel with the hopes of participating in events like this.
