Designed by Barry Colson, based on the New Zealand mullet boats. Built in Australia by Ben Pluck, Amity is one of only 8 boats constructed. She is a "nod" to the Mullet and Couta boats of a past era. Whilst the hull construction and cockpit design use modern methods, the sail plan, spars and rigging are a direct reflection of the traditional sailing fishing boat (couta boat). With a gaff rig, timber trim and spars, Amity maintains the traditional look as a day sailer.
